Op de Hitachi Global Storage support-site kan sinds kort een nieuwe versie van Drive Fitness Test te vinden. Dit programma is ooit door IBM ontwikkeld als diagnostics-tool voor zijn harde schijven en indertijd met de hele harddisk-divisie aan Hitachi verkocht. Met het programma kan de harde schijf uitgebreid worden getest om te kijken of hij nog in orde is. Zowel (S-)ATA- als SCSI-schijven van Hitachi en IBM kunnen worden getest. Het testen van schijven van andere merken is ook mogelijk, maar de resultaten zullen minder betrouwbaar zijn. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:

VW Beetle wreck
Silver Trunk Gered uit de vuilbak, de eerste auto die Robbe kreeg bij zijn geboorte. De Beetle had al zijn wielen al verloren, zijn voorruit lag eruit. De bedoeling is dit wrak op te knappen en hem in een leuk kleurje te zetten.
